You may only need a SCADA system for a limited time. This could be for a variety of reasons for example, analysis of process disturbances, identifying constraints, plant commissioning etc.
You want to evaluate the benefits before purchasing a system
If you want to trial a system before committing to outright purchase then hire allows you to evaluate the benefits at low cost.
Outright purchase could be vetoed
Where the cost of purchasing a system may be too high in terms of capital expenditure, hire charges are often low enough to be paid out of discretionary budgets.
All Prodigy package levels/options are available with timed licenses and the pricing structure is as follows;

1 month = 1/12 of list price

3 months = 1/14 of list price per month

6 months = 1/16 of list price per month

Subject to a minimum hire charge of £150

The price of a timed license does not include system configuration (setting up the signal database, designing displays etc.) which is straight forward for anyone with the relevant technical expertise.
